CarbonCure will be presenting two papers at the upcoming Fifth International Conference on Accelerated Carbonation for Environmental and Material Engineering (ACEME 2015). The series of ACEME conferences aim to promote research and development activities on accelerated carbonation at an international level, favouring the share of knowledge on the carbon utilization subject and critically discussing future development and implementation in the field.
The conference includes lectures, technical papers and a poster session. This edition includes over 70 presentations and will attract about 100 participants. The conference is being held outside of Europe for the first time. The conference runs from Sunday June 21st through to Wednesday June 24th at Columbia University in New York City.
CarbonCure will have two presentations at the conference. Sean Monkman's paper entitled "Understanding Cement Carbonation As a Means of Carbon Dioxide Utilization" will be presented by co-author Greg Dipple in the Industrial Waste 1 session on Tuesday at 1:15 pm. Later, Sean Monkman will be presenting his paper entitled "Carbon Dioxide Upcycling to Improve Ready-Mixed Concrete" on Wednesday at 1:45pm in the Pilot Scale 1 session. The CarbonCure presence at the conference allows the company to stay abreast of the latest developments in carbon utilization and engage with researchers working in this novel area.
