The Manning Innovation Award comes on the heels of CarbonCure’s recent announcement that its team has been selected as a semi-finalist in the $20 million global NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE competition. The XPRIZE competition, which has been compared to the Nobel Prize of the carbon world, challenges teams to develop breakthrough technologies that convert the most CO2 into high value products. Co-sponsored by NRG and COSIA, the multi-year competition is designed to address CO2 emissions from fossil fuels, a leading contributor to climate change.New Call-to-action

CarbonCure’s producer partners have verified the benefits enabled by CO2. John Cook, Director of Technical Services at Thomas Concrete in Georgia exclaims, “The CarbonCure technology allows us to optimize our cement content, which significantly reduces our carbon footprint. About the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE
Few challenges are greater and more critical than ensuring access to clean, affordable and abundant energy. As the global energy supply remains primarily derived from fossil fuels – the leading contributor to climate change – the $20M NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE will challenge the world to reimagine what we can do with CO2 emissions by incentivizing and accelerating the development of technologies that convert CO2 from a liability into valuable products.
